Who We Are
The Investment Clubs Association of Uganda (ICAU) is the apex body unifying investment clubs, SACCOs and cooperative investors across Uganda. Our core mandate is to provide financial literacy, facilitate access to markets and foster collective investments that generate sustainable wealth for our members.
ICAU was established to address the challenges facing investment clubs in Uganda including intermittent contributions, poor meeting attendance, financial illiteracy, limited investment diversification, and slow investment decision-making. By providing a structured framework for collaboration, we empower clubs to overcome these hurdles and thrive.

Challenges Facing Investment Clubs
ICAU was founded to address the following challenges commonly faced by investment clubs in Uganda:
- Intermittent contributions
- Poor meeting attendance
- Financial illiteracy
- Poor saving culture / low funds in account
- Little investments
- No diversification of investments
- No loans to members
- Limited skilled leaders
- Rigidity in admission of new members
- Slow investment decisions
